"Thank You For Not Forgetting About Me"

What a week in the great MLM.  We had exchanges, and I got to spend the day with Sister Lunt here in Saginaw! We had some knocking experiences that I will never forget. I'm so grateful for her and her example. Also, her biceps are huge! She's like this spiritual, jacked angel. We went to Robbie D's for obvious reasons.... she had to try the sweet burger! We then sent out a mass text to all our grey dots (people we stopped teaching because they weren't progressing / uninterested) and invited them to our ward Christmas party, which was the next day. 4 people showed up! Including Terry. Not the terry I baptized in Owosso. ️A new Terry in Saginaw️. He had been taught by some Elders last summer, but they stopped teaching him because he got really busy with work. He shows up to the Christmas party and comes up to Sister Bean & I and says- "Hi, I'm Terry, I was texted by the missionaries...?" We were so excited. After we introduced ourselves, he looks at us, ...

Hello friends and family!  We have had such a busy week! Sister Bean came in from the MTC and brought all the blessings with her. We get around 4 referrals everyday, it's insane! This last week we made 4 new friends! We haven't even met all our referrals yet! It's going to be a busy transfer, but we're ready for it!  This morning, I had a friend ask me how the mission has changed my life so far... I figured I might as well throw my response in my email today. The mission has changed my life in so many different ways. It's hard to even try to explain. Ultimately, we are representing Jesus Christ. I have come to know him more personally, as I try to become more like him. Chapter 6 in PMG is one of my favorties to study. The attributes of Jesus Christ. We study, practice, and learn of the character of Christ. Which also means furthering our knowledge of His Atonement. "Thinking Celestial" has increased my faith and will continue to gradually changed my heart....

Meet My Trainee!

What a week! Let's rewind a bit and start from Thanksgiving. I absolutely love the members here in Saginaw. They take such good care of us. We got to go over to the Boss's home for Thanksgiving. We ate, played games, and just enjoyed the company! We also got to play some turkey bowl in the morning at the Bishops house with a ton of other members! It was such a good time. I got cleeted a few times and have a couple of bruises on my ankles, but I'm okay!  I got to spend a few days in Mt. Pleasant while waiting for my new missionary to arrive. It was like a long exchange, which was super fun, and I'm thankful for the opportunity I had to meet the amazing friends the Mt. P sisters are teaching. They also have some iconic decorations in their apartment, haha. I'll put some photos below.  INTRODUCING...... Sister BEAN! Yes, Sister Bean. You guys. She is such a blessing. She's actually training me out here, no joke, she's amazing. So kind and bubbly and just full o...

Pepper Spray

Super short email today! I know it has been a few weeks, and I hope everyone's doing well!  I am having the best time serving the people here in Saginaw. The Elders make my days so much better, and we get to have a lot of member meals together, which have been a ton of fun. Today, we got to help one of our members move his couch. He only has one leg, and he is hilarious.  Elder Lowder ( our zone leader ) is going home after this transfer, so we've kinda been doing some last-minute bucket list activities. We pepper sprayed each other a couple of Mondays ago. 10/10 do not recommend. I was screaming, crying, and throwing up. Not worth the curiosity, it was a memorable experience, to say the least.  God is so good. I'm learning more and more about how to rely on the Spirit, and I'm seeing his hand more in my everyday life. He is in the details.  Info about some photos ( not in order ) • Match with the ZLs at zone conference  • The huge youth group in our ward a...

Saginawesome!

I'm not sure who came up with the phrase "sagnasty" but it ain't true. Saginaw is an amazing area! Tuesday (Owosso) Hard day saying goodbye to everyone. Sister Abegglen and I asked Brother Riley for a blessing before transfers, and he was SO happy. He fell apart in tears. He hasn't been able to attend church for a while because of his health. Brother Riley also hasn't been able to use his preisthood authority in a long time, so he was more than excited when we asked. We gave Grace a tight hug and Terry a nice firm handshake... haha. I gave AJ a good noogie on the head and told him to stay out of trouble. Love that kid. Being able to attend those 3 baptisms in Owosso has strengthened my testimony of not only Baptism but of the Holy Ghost as well. Seeing the change in a 74, 18, and 8 year old has shown me the power of the priesthood. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has the proper authority to baptize. I know that to be true! Wednesday: Transfers!...

TRANSFERS

Packing my bags, and I'm headed to.... SAGINAW! ( people call it Sagnasty so that's rlly cool..) It's about 45 minutes north of Owosso, and I will be in the Midland Zone! My new companion will be Sister Lee. I'm so excited to meet her!! My trainer, Sister Abegglen is actually leaving Owosso as well. They are bringing two new sisters here. We both got to bare our testimonies in church yesterday, and yes, we both cried. It was so sad. This was my first area and packing up today is killing me! Change will be good though. This week was VERY productive.  We got in contact with 4 of our referrals and set up appointments with each of them. We gave out almost 10 Bibles & 10 Book of Mormons, had dinner appointments with 5 different memebers, got to do some service in Lansing for the clothing drive, and we even met an inactive member on the street and set up a time to go visit her and her fam! Now is not the time to leave Owosso haha. Bagel and I have worked hard to make frie...
