Cats & Christmas Trees!
Hello friends and family!
We have had such a busy week! Sister Bean came in from the MTC and brought all the blessings with her. We get around 4 referrals everyday, it's insane! This last week we made 4 new friends! We haven't even met all our referrals yet! It's going to be a busy transfer, but we're ready for it!
This morning, I had a friend ask me how the mission has changed my life so far... I figured I might as well throw my response in my email today.
The mission has changed my life in so many different ways. It's hard to even try to explain. Ultimately, we are representing Jesus Christ. I have come to know him more personally, as I try to become more like him. Chapter 6 in PMG is one of my favorties to study. The attributes of Jesus Christ. We study, practice, and learn of the character of Christ. Which also means furthering our knowledge of His Atonement. "Thinking Celestial" has increased my faith and will continue to gradually changed my heart. I now only care what the Lord thinks of me. I plan on removing social media when I come home. Being without it on the mission has shown me how bad it really was for me. I will link a good talk by J.B. Haws below that has changed my perspective. I want to serve others as often as I can. I know serving others is how we can serve God ( Mosiah 2:17 ). Serving can heal broken hearts! I also know that there is power in humility. Learning how to have a broken heart and a contrite spirit has allowed me to deepen my understanding of the Gospel. I have almost been out for 6 months already. I know Heavenly Fathers loves me and YOU perfectly. His love is infinite. "I knew what it felt like to be lost and to find the Gospel and what type of worth that gave me as a person... and I wanted other people to have that." -Brandon Pak
Choosing to serve has been the best decision I've ever made, and I'm looking forward to being in Michigan for another year!
Happy Holidays
