10 Weeks Left

This week was SOOOO good.

I gave a talk in church yesterday and it went a lot better than I thought it would! A couple people came up to me after with tears in their eyes, telling me how much my message had touched them. I had talked about my experience going home from my mission in February and my dealings with Jesus Christs' Atonement. Of course I shed a couple tears up there.

Sunday nights, we typically hold a Book of Mormon class at the church. Last week a man who just recently started coming back to church, joined the class and he just had THE BIGGEST smile on his face. Reactivation has been something I have found a lot of joy in as a missionary. This man served a mission in my home state years ago!! He baptized almost 100 people. I'm happy he's back, he's happy to be back and I know that Heavenly Father is proud of him for allowing Jesus Chirst to lead him back to the iron rod.

When it rains in the mornings, Sister Messick and I like to do our companion studies in this lil winery downtown in Marshall. We sit in these cute chairs right by the window. This man walked by the other morning and did a double take. He comes in and says "you guys are the missionaries right?.... what exactly is it that you do?"  I simply said "We help people come closer to Jesus Christ!" He immediately said " I want that." All because he saw our tags in the window! The Lord really has prepared people all over the world. The field is WHITE!

This week was such a D&C chapter 4 week.
"Now behold, a marvelous work is about to come forth among the children of men. 2 Therefore, O ye that embark in the service of God, see that ye serve him with all your heart, might, mind and strength, that ye may stand blameless before God at the last day. 3 Therefore, if ye have desires to serve God ye are called to the work; 4 For behold the field is white already to harvest."

Our friend Faith is getting baptized on Saturday!!! We are super excited for her. She's turns 11 at the end of this month and she is just an angel. The most elect child I've ever met. Her dad got baptized in April down in Detroit and she would go to church with him occasionally. They moved to Marshall in September and we met her soon after in October. She reminds me of my cute nieces! Pray for faith this week!

Sister Messick is so awesome. The work is really fun and easy when you have a great companion! She makes everyday a good day. I'm grateful to be a missionary! The people in Michigan have my heart.

God is good... ALWAYS
