BACK IN THE FIELD
Yooooooo I'm back in MICHIGAN!!!!!
Many of you know, I was taking some trips to the hospital in January/February, and I had to come home for some health concerns. I got to serve as a service missionary for 5 months in Vancouver, Washington, and I got to witness many miracles. I will never forget these last 5 months and how much they've shaped me and my testimony of His Atonement.
My flight was Monday morning, and I landed at 11pm in Lansing. Hugging President Peckham and Sister Peckham was surreal. I was convinced I wouldn't be returning to Michigan, so you can imagine how that felt. President Peckham kissed my forehead and told me how much he missed his daughter. I was SOBBING. I feel like the luckiest missionary. I have such confidence in the Lords plan for me, and I know there are people He knew I needed to meet out here in the great state of Michigan. These last 6 months are going to be a GRIND.
My companion is my TRAINER, SISTER ABEGGLEN!!! She also had to come home for some things, and now we're both back and better than ever! We're serving in THE THUMB. Little town called Caro. The sights, the smells, the people OH MAN I've missed it. However it might not have been the best idea to put us together again, because we are very good friends. Last night, we were just cracking up at absolutely nothing, and I ended up jumping on her bed, and she tackled me to the ground, and I landed on my arm weird. Fr it might be broken haha love her.
Such an emotional week. We got to see so many blessings each day, and I just feel very loved. We've been super prayerful about where to knock cause we wanna knock every door in the area in 40 days- which will be easy. I picked this one street our first day and the first door we knocked, this older guy answered and said he was Catholic and we had a quick/happy interaction. While walking down his gorgeous driveway, he comes back out and asks if we wanted fresh chocolate chip cookies. What. He got his wife, and we talked for 45 minutes on the porch about God's grace and how the answer is always Jesus Christ. We only knocked that one door that day. I will always remember Kim and Al!
The 4th of July was a blast. We went to a members house and I got to meet a big chunk of the branch. A little girl fell head first into the pond in the backyard, and it was literally terrifying. She's alright tho. We celebrated two birthdays this last week, and AH it's just been so good. I've been loving every second.
Also, WHAT IN THE WORLD. After I landed in Lansing and I'm hugging the Peckhams and seeing Bagle and the APs again and tears are just flowing out of my eyes, I turn and see GRACE. Grace is the 18 year old girl that Bagle and I baptized in Owosso together. She works at the airport!!! I swear it was make-Lindsay-cry-day or something cause WHAT!!! Such an insane night.
It's been a year now! I was set apart on July 3rd 2023. I love you all, and I'm so happy to be back in The Great MLM God is GOOD. He knows us. He loves is.
