Update!

Friends!!
I have been home serving as a service missionary for 3 months now.
I want to share with you some of the good I’ve experienced these last few months.

1. Being home has taught me many things. I have been able to focus more on my personal conversion  and discover what becoming a lifelong disciple of Jesus Christ looks like for me. I definitely miss teaching others and spreading the Gospel but part of me is so grateful God brought me home early. I have grown to LOVE running. I go to this trail out by my house and last week I came across this guy named David on my 4th mile. He ends up telling me his whole life story, which just reminded me of the Michiganders haha but I asked him about his relationship with Jesus and we had a good conversation about church in general! It’s almost easier for me to talk to strangers without a companion haha but I invited him to church and got to see him through the Lords eyes for a short amount of time. Now I make it a goal to go talk to  people every time I go out running!

2. The Vancouver Washington proselyting Mission has been SO inclusive. I get to attend weekly district councils, pickle ball nights and zone conferences. The Elders and Sisters have been very kind to me and I’ve made some very good friends! The Mission President is from England and he is a sweetheart with the BEST accent ever.

3. Being able to still see the Lords hand in my service work has been such a blessing. I get to work with kids after school, in the temple/on the grounds, middle school activities and food banks! I also get to go out finding/teaching with the Sisters!

4. Sister Abegglen ( my trainer ) came out and visited me! She also came home early but is now back out in Michigan! We went to a Blazer game, got massages and hiked waterfalls while bonding over our Missions. It was so good to see her. She has such a big heart and a pure testimony, I just adore her.

5. Prioritizing my health.
Attending the temple often has truly healed me. Luke 1:37 “For with God nothing shall be impossible” I know this is true! Everytime I walk into the temple, my burdens just get lighter and lighter. The worldly things get blurry, I feel uplifted and optimistic. I simply just feel Gods love for me. Temple work is ineffable.

I hope to join the Vancouver Washington proselyting Mission within 3-4 weeks, then hopefully I will be sent back out to Michigan later this summer.

You guys! The church is true.(even in Washington ;))
