Think Celestial
Vancouver is getting a TEMPLE, LET'S GOOOO!! I have lived in Vancouver, Washington my entire life and I cannot be more thrilled. The Couve is going to receive so many blessings!!!!
General Conference was outstanding this weekend! I really enjoyed Tamara W. Runias talk. When she said, "Zoom out and look through a different lens, an eternal lens, that focuses on the bigger picture." Followed with President Nelsons' invitation to "Think Celestial" I couldn't help but ponder about the little things in life, I tend to stress so much about. Conference has always brought me a lot of peace, but this session seemed to enlighten me more than the others. I know as we start thinking celestial and zoom out, looking at our bigger picture through an eternal lens, that our capacity to receive personal revelation can increase as our faith increases. Our hearts will gradually change, and we will view the trials in our lives in a different light! If you haven't gotten the opportunity to watch conference, I invite you to make time for it! Lds.org !
You have a purpose, and God has a plan for that purpose.
AJ is on date for next Sundayyyy! We are SO excited for him! Not only do I love teaching AJ at the park because I get to practice my football skills, but we get to meet all his friends! I love kids. So much. They think missionaries are the coolest people ever haha and they always ask us a ton of questions! Plantin seeds at the park!
My comp and I started "The Chosen" and oh man. I love that show. We will watch it occasionally at lunch, dinner and sometimes before bed. Sister Abegglen makes everything so much fun! She's an amazing missionary, and I'm thankful for her example. One of my favorite things we do every week is go read the BOM with one of our members, brother Burdick! He is handicapped and is unable to speak. He writes on a little screen to communicate. We are reading in 2 Nephi, and we meet outside every Tuesday at a bench by his apartment complex. He follows along as Sister Abbeglen and I switch off reading the verses. The spirit is always strong. I enjoy being out in the sun and something about reading scriptures aloud is so powerful to me. There is no place I'd rather be than in lil Owosso, Michigan!
