Act In All Diligence
Hello family and friends!!! I hope everyone is doing wonderful! I love and miss you all very much
Its been a good week, lets get into it!
Tuesday we went to go visit Mary, a nonactive member. She hasn't been to church in over 10 years. We had such a good visit with her, we even ended up diggin out her old quad sciptures! They were up in a storage box that was all dusty haha. We invited her to pray before she read them and we will follow up next week! She was excited to get back into exercising her faith! Let's go Maryyyy!
Wednesday we had an apartment inspection with Elder and Sister Doty! I just love them. They make sure we're all safe with our fire alarms and everything and they always leave us with an amazing spiritual thought. (: We had a few appointments later in the day. Sister Abegglen and I are really trying to keep our appointments 30 minutes long. It's so hard. Michiganders like to talk and we just have to sit there like, haha its hard to interupt and get things back on topic! Its good though, I feel like a lot of people here treat us like we're their grandkids, always giving us cookies and whatever... so cute :') Wednesday night we got to have a slumber party with the Cheboygan Sisters!!! Including the one and only SISTER MESSICK ( my mtc comp & bestie out here )! We had Zone Conference in Lansing Thursday morning at 8am so they came down Wednesday to spend the night! The company was nice, I love those girls.
Thursday after Zone Conference, Sister Abegglen got super sick. Doctor said she has a virus. We spent a lot of time in our apartment and weren't allowed to go out at proselyt. It was hard to quarentine ourselves especially as missionaries. I didn't catch anything from her but it was challenging waking up alone and being diligent in my routine/studies. I've been thinking about the kind of missionary I want to be and I keep reminding myself, I have 18 months to serve the Lord and the rest of my life to think about it. This is the only time I can focus 100% of my time on the Lord.
"We are to learn our duty from the Lord, and then we are to act in all diligence, never being lazy or slothful." Henry B Eyring
I invite you all to spiritually prepare for General Conference this next weekend! Have a prayer in your heart and think of some questions you might have before listening! The Lord will answer them.
