Pink Washing Owosso

I made it to Michigan! Oh my goodness, this week has been crazy!!! 15 other missionaries flew to into Lansing on Thursday and we all got to meet our new Mission President and his wife, the Peckhams!!! They are so sweet and President Peckham actually served here in the Michigan Lansing Mission 38 years ago! I met my amazing trainer Sister Abegglen! ( Sister Bagel ). We have already had such a good time meeting the people here in Owosso. She's from Utah and she's been in Michigan for 6 months! I will be with her for 12 weeks and im super stoked! The people in Owosso are so humble. There have only been elders in Owosso for the last 2-3 years so sister Abegglen and I are what we call "pink washing" the area! Yesterday we got to attend our ward for the first time and we LOVE the members!!! Such a humble ward. We have 2 friends about to get baptized in August/September. My trainer and I were asked to give our testimonies in church last second and oh man I was so nervous. I remember my mind went blank while I was walking up to the pulpit. Out of nowhere I shared this testimony about hope and It was such a cool experience. The spirit was so strong and while I was freaking out walking up to share, as I got in front of the ward I felt so comfortable almost like I was at home. My voice wasn't shaky, I had a smile on my face and felt the Lord's guidance through sharing my testimony in my new ward. It has definitely been an emotional adjustment coming to Michigan and saying some hard goodbyes to the wonderful missionaries from my MTC district. Change is hard but it's how we grow. I'm having fun and I'm excited to get to work!

My address for the next 3 months! -

Here are some pics from my last few days in the MTC! I have like zero photos from Michigan but expect some good ones next week! (:
