CHRISTMAS CARD

Image
Send me your address if you want a Christmas Card from Sister Messick and I (: We had such a great week!  We did the impossible and put THE Barbara Gladney on date for baptism. She has literally been meeting with missionaries for 7+ years. Faiths baptism got pushed back because her dad got superrrr sick. Sister Messick gave the greatest talk of all time on Sunday on gratitude. We made 5 new friends this week!  NATIONAL DAY OF KNOCKING 11/23  Okay, I made that up, BUT, for the longest time I've wanted to spend an entire day on the mission knocking. The very first door we knocked ended up inviting us in and they fed us homemade bread and salad, like what. We had an awesome conversation about multiple gospel topics. Ann Marie and Mike wow I will just never forget them. That was such a cool experience.  Enduring to the end The restart to the Gospel of Jesus Christ Sometimes I really feel like I'm ENDURING God doesn't want us to be gritting our teeth pushing through life ...

10 Weeks Left

This week was SOOOO good.  I gave a talk in church yesterday and it went a lot better than I thought it would! A couple people came up to me after with tears in their eyes, telling me how much my message had touched them. I had talked about my experience going home from my mission in February and my dealings with Jesus Christs' Atonement. Of course I shed a couple tears up there. Sunday nights, we typically hold a Book of Mormon class at the church. Last week a man who just recently started coming back to church, joined the class and he just had THE BIGGEST smile on his face. Reactivation has been something I have found a lot of joy in as a missionary. This man served a mission in my home state years ago!! He baptized almost 100 people. I'm happy he's back, he's happy to be back and I know that Heavenly Father is proud of him for allowing Jesus Chirst to lead him back to the iron rod. When it rains in the mornings, Sister Messick and I like to do our companion studies i...

His Grace Is Sufficient

HEY  Another great week doing the Lords work in Marshall Michigan! We have a few friends preparing to be baptized this month! One friend we're teaching is from Haiti and he's AMAZING. His name is Jeff and we just love him! Teaching him has been a unique experience for both Sister Messick and I. We have an inactive member join our lessons with him and that has really helped re-kindle his flame from when he served his mission, many years ago in Washington! We're also teaching the Lord family. They are somethin special! I don't think I've ever experienced more charity in my life then I have when being around the Lords. They have taught me so much.  Sundays are probably the most stressful days Making sure everyone has rides to church Making sure our friends get fellowships Wondering what our friends are thinking while the speakers are talking As stressful as this all may be I have come to be even more grateful for the sacred time of the sacrament The time I have to not ...
